

Meat Roll Onigiri ~
How about making every bite complete, when you roll the meat over the rice and vegetable?
I shall write down the simple steps and you can adjust the amount to your preference:
1. Cook Japanese Rice according to the package instruction.
2. Blanch broccoli for few minutes with salt. Drain and cut into small pieces and season with soy sauce (not too wet) and sesame seeds.
3. Mix seasoned broccoli with rice and roll them into a cylinder shape with wet hands.
4. Season thinly sliced meat (beef/pork) with salt and pepper.
5. Place the rice onto one to two thinly slice meat depend on the size of your rice. Roll it over.
6. Cook the side where the seam is first and then roll to cook the rest of the part.
7. Once the meat no longer pink, add 1-2tbsp soy sauce. 1-2tbsp mirin and 2 tsp sugar into the pan and cook with low heat until all the surface turn glossy.
8. If you want to serve as lunch box, allow them to cool before storing them in the box.
